‘The Missing Magi’ to bring holiday music to Fairchance

1 min read

FAIRCHANCE – Dry Knob School House Theatre in Fairchance will present “The Missing Magi” at 7 p.m. Saturday. The performers for this production include Danielle Hudak, Heather Hudak, Eric Long, Aaron Long, Robert Brownfield, Isaac Brownfield, Matthew Brownfield, Makenzie Lee, Christian Lee, Mary Jack, Kathryn Jack, Jennifer Jack, Lendsie Hollowood and Ethel Loretta Brownfield.

It’s the night before the actual performance. The children are excited and ready to act. The enthusiasm reaches a high pitch as the children decide to run through the play without the main character being present. “He’s always late” is the comment.

This performance centers on the Fourth Magi or the missing Wiseman. The children must improvise costumes, props and setting, along with the performers having to take on different roles as they rehearse for the program.

The main character Tommy is likened to the Wise Man, who started out looking for Baby Jesus and ran into obstacles along the way.

Tommy does good deeds for a sick woman, a lost child and homeless youngsters living under the freeway.

This is a musical full of fun and meaning with some familiar Christmas songs as well as a few new ones.
