Buck Naked Band, the party band from Uniontown and Morgantown, W.Va., will perform from 10 p.m. today to 2 a.m. Saturday at Caddy Shack, which is located along route 310 north in downtown Fairmont, W.Va., and 10 a.m. Saturday to 2 a.m. Sunday at the Long Branch Saloon, Mountain Lake Park near Oakland, Md. Covered Bridge Gallery & Washington Street Cafe invite the public to The Big Art Sale tonight and Saturday at the Washington Street Cafe, 68 S. Washington St., Waynesburg. The event will feature a diverse collection of originals, reproductions, pottery, sculpture and photography created by more than 30 talented local and regional artists. A wine and cheese reception will be held from 6:30 to 10 p.m. today.
Entertainment will be provided by Old Friends, a group featuring Steve Halow, Larry J. Durdines and Brandon Petrucci. The art sale will be held from 5 to 10 p.m. Saturday. Children can meet Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Visitors can tell Santa what they want for Christmas and bring a camera for a picture to Kid’s Kingdom Discovery Pavilion. Treats will be provided.
The event is free with zoo admission. The animals are especially active during this time of the year, and many can be viewed from indoor exhibits. The zoo is open every day but Dec. 25.
