Poverty Neck Hillbillies to perform at DiVito Park
The Poverty Neck Hillbillies will be performing a benefit concert Sunday, at DiVito Park in Leisenring, with all proceeds benefiting the Connellsville Area School District Hockey Program. The performance will be combined with the opening act Stonee Ridge. Doors open at 4 p.m. Concert hours are 5 to 9 p.m. Tickets are only $5 general admission, with children under 6 free. Receive a free chance on a gas grill with advance ticket purchase. Tickets are now on sale at the following locations: DiVito Park (accepting MasterCard/Visa), Miller’s Grocery Store, Normalville; G&D Store, Melcroft; and in Connellsville: Palmer’s Tavern, Muzzy’s Place, Schmidt’s Tire and The Dump Restaurant. Tickets may also be purchased at The Smart Shopper in Dunbar.
The Connellsville Hockey Organization is open to all Connellsville students grades six through 12. The Freshman Team has a record of 42 wins, one loss and five ties, winning the Division Championship three years running.
