West Virginia celebration planned in Morgantown

“Happy Birthday West Virginia’ will be celebrated from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday on Main Street, Morgantown. The day will be filled with food, music, bingo, kids’ games, a classic car show and a birthday cake large enough to serve 1,000 people. The sounds of local bands and performers such as Jr. Pezz, Lugen Farm Dairy, Cheap Trucker Speed, Tweedside and From the Hip will be featured at the Courthouse Square. “A Taste of Morgantown’ will showcase local restaurants and their specialties. A new Speed Pitch booth will also be set up from, 1 to 4 p.m. The Morgantown Public Library will hold noon storytelling with Dr. Judy P. Byers. The public is welcome.
