2 min read

The Albert Gallatin Senior High School Art Club and Art Classes are exhibiting works of art during May at the National City Bank in downtown Uniontown in the two large display cases at the front and center main hallway. The various works of art displayed are a representational sampling of the Art 1, 2, 3 and 4 classes as well as ceramics, sculpture, photography and arts and crafts. Artworks consist of the following varied media: drawings in pencil, pen and ink and scratchboard; paintings in tempera, watercolor, acrylics, oils and pastels; printmaking (linoleum block, dry point etchings); ceramic and sculpture pieces; and arts and crafts projects (reverse painting on glass, glass etchings, mosaics, baskets, silk screened T-shirts and other three-dimensional projects).

This year’s art club president is Lisa Huseman. The Albert Gallatin High School Art Club sponsor is Madelyn Cindric. Teachers at the senior high school are Sharon Sementa-Bunyan, who teachers Art 1 and 2; Madelyn Cindric, who teachers Art 2, 3 and 4 and ceramics/sculpture; and Joe Jordan, who teaches photography and arts and crafts.
