BROWNSVILLE – The 19th annual Holiday Treasures Arts and Crafts Show and Sale, which will be held Friday through Sunday, Nov. 30-Dec. 2, will showcase the creative work of 10 Fayette and Washington County artisans. The show will take place in the unique, earth-sheltered home of Scott and Barbara Campbell, which is located on the Grindstone Road in Brownsville. Barbara Campbell, the weaver of the group, has added hand-dyed and imported silk scarves to her crafts this year.

The other artists and their specialties include Karen Check of New Salem, painted folk art on items such as old sleds; Kay Gammon of Brownsville, stenciled and painted colonial floor cloths; Valerie Gmutza of Blainesburg, counted cross-stitch and handmade kitchen linens; Joyce Lynn Langley of Uniontown, nature art and candles; Sharon Miles of McClellandtown, appliques in wood; Rebecca Rankin of Washington, watercolors, calligraphy and applique felt Christmas stockings; Barbara Rankin of Brownsville, rug hooking and birchbark designs; Kitty Siefert and James Tomasek of New Salem, handmade baskets including the distinctive Nantucket Light Ship style. Handmade Christmas ornaments and gourmet foods made by the artists will also be available. Holiday Treasures fills the living and dining room of the Campbell’s earth-sheltered residence. Show hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, and Saturday, Dec. 1, and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2. Holiday Treasures is located in the house at the top of the first driveway on the right, about one-half mile north of the Route 40/166 intersection. Admission and parking are free.
