Harvest tours set LIGONIER – Harvest Candlelight tours begin at Compass Inn Museum on Saturday and continue on Saturdays and Sundays through Nov. 24 from 2 to 5 p.m.
The Inn, an authentically restored 1799 stagecoach stop, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is decorated for the Harvest/Thanksgiving season with pumpkins, cornstalks and other natural accents.
Cheery wood fires in three fireplaces and the glow of nearly 100 candles enhance the informative and entertaining tour. Experience “History with a Smile,” relax by a crackling fire with a cup of hot mulled cider and a cookie and enjoy the gracious hospitality of a 19th-century inn.
Allow one hour for the candlelight tour.
The outbuildings, including the cookhouse, blacksmith shop and barn, are closed at this time of year.
Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for students through high school. Children age 5 and under are complimentary.
Walk-ins are welcome, but reservations are requested for groups of 10 or more.
The inn will open for groups of 20 or more on weekdays.

Concert slated
Calvary Apostolic Church announced that Mark Condon will perform a free concert at 7 p.m. today.
Condon, a worship leader, will perform his grassroots gospel music with such standards as “Lord You’re Worthy” and his number-one hit, “Giving My Best.” He will also promote his new release, “I Feel the Joy.”
The public is invited to attend the concert. Calvary Apostolic Church is located on Rolling Hills Estate Road in North Union Township between Sylvan Heights Cemetery and the PennDOT facilities.
