Cal U students to present ‘The Best Christmas Pageant Ever’
CALIFORNIA – California University of Pennsylvania’s Department of Theatre and Dance will present Barbara Robinson’s classic story “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” this weekend. A crazy group of first-year students will relive their childhoods in entertaining fashion under the direction of Dr. Michele Pagen.
Beth Bradley, portrayed by Caitlin Gallagher of Carlisle, narrates this humorous, heart-warming tale.
Grace Bradley, portrayed by Amanda Baltos of Pittsburgh, must direct the pageant this year.
She soon realizes she’s in over her head when the Herdmans, who are the “worst kids in the history of the world,” take over the pageant. Everyone in town thinks the pageant is going to be a disaster, but Grace promises the pageant will be the best it ever was, even with the Herdmans.
“The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” will be performed in Steele Auditorium on the campus of California University of Pennsylvania from at 8 p.m. today and 2 and 8 p.m. Saturday.
Tickets are $3 for adults and $2 for children and seniors.
Cal U students are admitted free with a valid ID.
