Local author to sign copies of her second book at event
The Book Store at Cherry Tree Square, which is located in the Walmart Plaza, will host a book signing for local author Ceane O’Hanlon-Lincoln for her second book “Autumn Song” from noon to 10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29. Ceane O’Hanlon-Lincoln is a native of Connellsville although she lived 18 years in the Ligonier Valley, where she taught high school French until 1983. Already engaged in commercial writing, she immediately began pursuing a career in writing fiction.
In 1987, she won honors at Robert Redford’s Sundance, when two of her screenplays made the “top 25” – chosen from thousands of nationwide entries. She has since sold one of those scripts to a major production company. She translated the other, “A Toast to Destiny” (available at area libraries), into a compelling mystery novel.
O’Hanlon-Lincoln wrote her own bi-monthly column titled “County Chronicles,” in which she focused on local history. It appeared in The Daily Courier.
“Autumn Song” is a harmonious medley of 15 short stories threaded by their romantic destiny themes and autumnal settings.
“‘Autumn song’ is the prefect bedside reader,” she said. “So often, I have encountered folks who say they love to read, but are just too busy. There is always time for a short story.
The book is portable enough to take to the doctor or dentist’s office, on holiday or anywhere,” she added.
Anyone, who wants to purchase a book, may contact O’Hanlon-Lincoln at 724-626-1817. The book can also be purchased from The Book Case in Connellsville or The Book Store, which is located in Cherry Tree Square.
