Steel City Quartet to perform at local church

ALLISON – The Steel City Quartet will perform in concert at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the Allison Christian Church. There is no admission charge to the concert, but a free-will offering will be accepted. The public is invited to attend. Refreshments will follow in the church social hall.

The Steel City Quartet now has a new gospel sound that has been receiving attention from all over the nation, according to a press release.

Since 1983, the Steel City Quartet has been touching the lives of listeners in more than 2,700 churches, fairs and auditoriums throughout the tri-state area since 1983.

Members of the group include John “Legs” Lawrenzi of Sutersville, who sings tenor and manages that group; Chuck Johnson of Brownsville, who sings lead and baritone; Dara Johnson, his wife, who sings lead and alto. Completing the group and running the sound equipment is Barbara Yurasek from Johnstown.
