Do ghosts haunt halls, rooms of historic Nemacolin Castle?

2 min read

BROWNSVILLE – Do ghosts haunt the halls and rooms of the historic Nemacolin Castle in Brownsville? Visitors, who want to learn the answer to this question, can take Candlelight Ghost Tours every Saturday and Sunday in October, starting Oct. 5 and continuing until Oct. 31 at Nemacolin Castle on Front Street. The tours will be held from 6 to 11 p.m. on Saturdays and Thursday, Oct. 31, and 6 to 10 p.m. on Sundays.

Visitors will walk through the rooms of Nemacolin Castle with a tour guide armed with tales from actual experiences that are said to have happened in the castle. Visitors will get a chance to know the spirits who walk the halls and rooms and discover their stories.

Everyone who visits the castle asks if it is haunted. Tour guides will share the investigation results from a para-normal research team, information gained by psychics, the castle staff and volunteers and visitors.

There were three generations of Bowmans who lived in the castle. Could any of them be caught between the present and the hereafter? If not, who then walks the halls and rooms when all should be quiet? Charge for castle tours is $6 adults and $3 for children age 12 and under.
