Fort Necessity announces schedule during holidays
FARMINGTON – The visitor center at Fort Necessity National Battlefield in Farmington will be closed Thursday and Friday, Dec. 25-26, in observance of Christmas federal holidays. President Bush has issued an executive order, declaring Dec. 26 an official holiday and ordering all executive branch agencies of the federal government to close. The visitor center will also be closed Thursday, Jan. 1, for the New Year’s Day holiday. The park grounds, including the trails, will remain open to the public from sunrise to sunset.
