Hot Dog Fest set in Ligonier
LIGONIER – With a new location and a new gourmet twist to the menu, the Ligonier Valley Writers’ ninth annual Hot Dog Fest is slated for Friday, Feb. 28. The social hour begins at 6 p.m. at Antiochian Village Conference & Retreat Center. The picnic at 7 p.m. features gourmet bratwursts garnished with a variety of unique homemade relishes. It also includes Syrian and German potato salads, a special ginger slaw and baked beans. Cobblers and crisps will be featured for dessert.
The keynote speaker is Bill Brown, morning news anchor for WJAC-TV, the NBC affiliate in Johnstown.
Tickets are available from any Ligonier Valley Writers member, the Ligonier Chamber of Commerce, the Ligonier News Stand and all Commercial National Bank locations for a contribution of $20 each.
Antiochian Village Conference & Retreat Center is located on Route 711, just six miles north of the Ligonier Diamond.
