Schedule announced for Shakespeare Festival
The Bard will return to center stage at Penn State Fayette from Monday through Friday, Feb. 7, during the annual Shakespeare Festival. The schedule of events is as follows:
Monday, Feb. 3
– 12:15 to 1:15 p.m., Actor Preparation Workshop with Improvisation Games by cast members of the National Players Acting Company in Swimmer Hall, Williams Building. Tickets are not required.
Tuesday, Feb. 4
– 7 to 9 p.m., The National Players Production of “As You Like It,” will be presented in Swimmer Hall, Williams Building. The event will feature a two-hour performance by a 12-member cast. A talk-back session will follow. Admission will be by ticket only. There will be no charge for tickets.
Thursday, Feb. 6
– 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., Working with Shakespeare’s Text in Production, a lecture/demonstration by cast members of Shakespeare-in-the-Schools will be presented in Swimmer Hall, Williams Building. Tickets are not required.
Friday, Feb. 7
– 12:30 to 1:15 p.m., Shakespeare-in-the-Schools Production of “The Comedy of Errors,” a 55-minute adaptation will take the stage at Swimmer Hall, Williams Building. A talk-back session will follow. There no is no charge for tickets. Exhibits will be available during regular library hours throughout the week:
– “Shakespeare’s Stratford,” an exhibit of photographs taken by Dr. Dennis Brestensky.
– Unique and imaginative projects created by students from previous English 129 (Introduction to Shakespeare) classes at Fayette Campus.
