Seinfeld to headline Royal Reception XIII at Nemacolin resort
FARMINGTON – Well-known comedian Jerry Seinfeld will headline the Royal Reception XIII, which will be held June 27-29 at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort & Spa near Farmington. Royal Reception XIII proceeds will benefit, in part, the National Childhood Cancer Foundation. NCCF is a non-profit organization, which supports the research of the Children’s Oncology Group and is dedicated to giving every child with cancer the chance for a cure someday. For the past 12 years, the event has featured a variety of popular entertainers, such as comedian Robin Williams, rocker Huey Lewis and the News, songwriter Burt Bacharach and Motown star Smokey Robinson.
The line-up for Royal Reception XIII promises to be no disappointment, according to resort officials. The resort has signed on top comedian Jerry Seinfeld to headline the event.
Also appearing will be the classic rock band, The Doobie Brothers and talented actor and tap dancer Gregory Hines.
The weekend schedule is as follows:
Friday, June 27
– 6:30 p.m., Reception.
– 7:30 p.m., Dinner with entertainment by Gregory Hines, a popular actor and tap dancer. After Hines, the high-energy band No Bad Ju Ju will take the stage. Dress of the evening is cocktail attire and black tie is optional.
Saturday, June 28
– 9:30 a.m., Royal Procession forms in the lobby of the Chateau LaFayette.
– 10 a.m., Brunch with entertainment provided by a unique acrobatic duo, The Tweaksters. Formal luncheon attire is requested, and jackets are required for the gentlemen.
– 6 p.m., Reception.
– 7 p.m., Dinner with entertainment by comedian Jerry Seinfeld followed by the Doobie Brothers. Dress of the evening is cocktail attire, and black tie is optional.
Sunday, June 29
– 9:30 a.m., Farewell brunch with entertainment by the Etta Cox Ensemble. Formal luncheon attire is requested, and jackets are required for the gentlemen. Robin Leach, formerly of “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous,” will be the master of ceremonies again for this year’s event.
