Apple Hill Playhouse to hold auditions
DELMONT – Apple Hill Playhouse in Delmont will hold auditions for its 2003 adult season on Saturday, April 19. Directors will be looking for performers for three plays and two musicals. Auditions are by appointment only. Call 724-468-5050 for available times.
Actors will do cold readings from the script.
Musical performers should be prepared to sing 32 bars of a rock or musical theater song and provide sheet music for accompaniment.
No a cappella or audiotapes are permitted. Dance routines will be taught at the theater.
Directors are looking for talent for the following productions:
– “Perfect Wedding,” a comedy by Robin Hawdon and directed by Ron Ferrara. Production dates will be Sept. 11-13, 18-20 and 25-27 at 8 p.m. and Sept 14 at 2 p.m.
– “Steel Magnolias,” a comedy/drama by Robert Harling and directed by Lynn deBree. Production dates will be Nov. 6-8, 13-15, 20-22 at 8 p.m. and Nov. 9 at 2 p.m.
– “Greetings!” a heartwarming comedy by Tom Dudzick, directed by Marge Kerr. Production dates will be Dec. 4-6, 11-13 and 18-20 at 8 p.m. and Dec. 7 at 2 p.m.
– “Evita,” a rock opera, music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, lyrics by Tim Rice, directed by Brad Dell and choreographed by Laura Wurzell. The musical director will be announced. Production dates will be July 10-12, 17-19 and 24-26 at 8 p.m., July 16 and 23 at 2 p.m. and July 20 at 7 p.m.
– “Clue,” the musical, a comedy-mystery, booked by Peter DiPietro, lyrics by Tom Chiodo, music by Galen Blum, Wayne Barker, and Vinnie Martucci and directed by Larry Tempo.
The musical director and choreographer will be announced. Production dates will be: Oct. 16-18, 23-25, 30-31 Nov. 1 at 8 p.m. and Oct. 19 at 2 p.m.
