2 min read

YORK RUN – The Albert Gallatin High School Drama Department closes its successful 2002-2003 season with its dinner theater on Friday, May 9. Myers’ Catering will serve a traditional wedding-style meal at 6 p.m. in the school cafeteria.

At 7 p.m. in the auditorium, students will present selected skits from Carol Burnett’s television show.

Tickets for the dinner and show must be purchased before noon on Monday.

Tickets are available from cast members, Jackie Davis, Jeanne Fike and Marianne Muzika, school secretary. Tickets for the show also may be purchased at the door.

The family humor of Carol Burnett is featured in 10 skits.

Of these skits, she commented with pride that their writers were among the best in the business. Students have enjoyed preparing these light-hearted skits after the serious business of putting “The Music Man” on stage.

With this performance, the seniors say farewell, the juniors and sophomores demonstrate their talent, and the freshman are introduced.

Appearing in “An Evening with Carol Burnett” will be Jessica Brown, Daron Christopher and Elizabeth Shaffer in “Fireside Girl.” In “The Rolls Royce” will be Laura Koposko, Tim Kelly and Emily Russell.

“The Old Folks” are Allison Rich and Ryan Wilson.

Worried about a “Late Date” are Brooke Wheeler, Brian Huseman and Kim Koast.

In “The Hospital Nudge” are Jennifer Smithley, Jared Hirtz and Andy Brady.

“Bonnie and Clod” are Jan Koposko and Brandon Huseman.

“The Wallflowers” features Anne Pallmann, Ale`Muzika, Brandon Huseman and Andy Brady.

Fallon Carroll, Jack Rosensteel, Josh Darr, Bill Brensteiner and Darnell Austin perform “Alice Portnoy and the Bank Robbers.”

“High School Classmates” are Brooke Whoolery, Sara Grimplin and Daron Christopher.

Tim Kelly, Angela Allison, Paige Callahan, Jonathon Plisko, Darnell Austin and Chassity Matlick present “As the Stomach Turns.”

Joe Andria on piano will provide the musical transitions from one scene to the next. Jackie Davis and Jeanne Fike directed these skits.
