AG students to exhibit artwork
The Albert Gallatin Area Senior High School Art Club and Art Classes will exhibit works of art this month at the National City Bank in downtown Uniontown. The artwork will be featured in the two large display cases, which are located at the front and center main hallway in the National City Bank building.
The various works of art displayed are a representational sampling of the Art 1, 2, 3 and 4 classes.
Those classes include ceramics, sculpture, photography and arts and crafts.
Artwork includes the following media: drawings in pencil, pen and ink and scratchboard; paintings in tempera, watercolor, acrylics, oils and pastels; printmaking (linoleum block, dry point etchings); ceramic and sculpture pieces; and arts and crafts projects (reverse painting on glass, glass etchings, mosaics, baskets, silk screened T-shirts and other three-dimensional projects).
This year’s art club president is Brandon Huseman.
The Albert Gallatin Area Senior High School sponsor is Madelyn Cindric.
Teachers at the senior high school are Sharon Sementa-Bunyan who teaches Art 1 and 2; Madelyn Cindric who teaches Art 2, 3 and 4, arts and crafts and ceramics/sculpture; and Marianne Filiaggi who teaches photography 1 and 2 and arts and crafts.
