Face in the Crowd to rock ‘n’ roll as Point Marion celebrates AG Regatta

POINT MARION – Face in the Crowd, a local rock band from Masontown, will perform from 3:45 to 5:45 p.m. Saturday at the 24th annual Albert Gallatin Regatta in Point Marion. The band, which includes members Tim Kelly, Brian Huseman, George Parish and Brandon Huseman, will perform on the River Front stage.

The schedule for the Albert Gallatin Regatta is as follows:

– 10 a.m., Memorial service at Evergreen Cemetery.

– 10:55 a.m., Laying of wreath at Cheat River Bridge.

– 11 a.m., Albert Gallatin Memorial Parade.

Riverfront Stage Events

– 1 p.m., Welcome and crowing of the Point Marion Regatta Queen.

– 2:30 to 3:30 p.m., Music by Fast Eddy, rock group.

– 3:45 to 5:45 p.m., Face in the Crowd, pop/rock.

– 6 p.m. to closing, music by Person of Note, country.

Riverfront Stage Schedule

– 1 p.m., Sandura Faye, music.

– 1:15 p.m., Friendship Hill Elementary cheerleaders.

– 2 to 4 p.m., Redeemed Baptist Church, special music.

– 4:30 to 5 p.m., River City Quartet from Albert Gallatin High School.

– 6 to 9 p.m., Kendall Brothers (formerly D’j… vu), music.

Special Events in the Park

– 7 a.m., Sunrise Ecumenical Service, the Rev. French Jenkins.

– Noon to 4 p.m., Regatta car show hosted by Dream Machines Care Club of Morgantown trophies awarded at 4 p.m.

– Noon to 9 p.m., Food vendors and arts and crafts booths are open.

– Noon to 5 p.m., Tour Friendship Hill, home of Albert Gallatin.

– 6:30 p.m., Annual Albert Gallatin 5K Walk and Run awards to be given at the Lower Pavilion.

– 9 p.m., Fireworks in the park.

A nature walk will be held all-day long to the head of the Caperton Trail on the Mason-Dixon Line.

A teen dance will be held Friday in the social hall of the Methodist church. The dance is open to all children in the community.

A chicken and biscuit dinner will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Methodist church. A memorial dance will be begin at 10 p.m. Sunday at the American Legion Post in Point Marion. The Falcons will provide music for the event.

The Albert Gallatin Regatta is sponsored by the Point Marion Rotary Club.
