A Holiday Bazaar will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Connellsville Church of God, located at 126 Breakneck Ave. near the Connellsville Senior High School. Many items will be on sale, including crafts, holiday decorations, “happy ball” jewelry, Tupperware and Pampered Chef products, homemade candy, baked goods, soups and sandwiches. The bazaar is a fund-raiser for the Women of the Church of God organization.

Holiday Festival will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Indian Creek Valley Community Center on Route 711 in Indian Head. The event will benefit the Indian Creek Valley Lions Club. The festival will feature a large selection of holiday gift ideas, including holiday T-shirts, homemade canning, wood toys, ornaments, dolls and toys, ceramics, wreaths, holiday floral, various craft items, decorative painting, baskets, candles and a bake sale. “Home for the Holidays” Craft Open House will be held today through Sunday at the home of Jamie and Chuck Kordich, 1 Kensington St., Uniontown. The three-day event is coordinated by Jamie Kordich Floral, Amy Sue Goodwin Designs and Susie Conway’s Weathered Home and Garden D?cor. The home will be open to the public with free admission and will feature a Victorian home with the entire wrap-around porch filled with handmade creations from local crafters. Once inside, visitors can view three rooms loaded from floor to ceiling with hundreds of handmade holiday crafts and gift items. A sample of the items include silk and dried florals, decorated trees, potpourri, hand-poured scented candles and accessories, a variety of wooden crafted items, ornaments, gift baskets, blankets, pillows, lamps, dolls, homemade holiday candies and more. Free refreshments, holiday recipes and decorating tips will be offered. Visitors can enter to win various door prizes. Fort Necessity will hold a Veterans’ Memorial Program at the battlefield at 2 p.m. today. The ceremony will honor veterans and active military personnel by recognizing the men and women who were imprisoned during war and by remembering those still missing loved ones lost at war. A percentage of the profits from this annual event are donated to Mercy Jeannette Hospital Foundation to help fund programs, services and equipment that benefits the community. The public is invited to attend.
