“Halloween Skate and Dance” kicks off skating season in Greensboro
GREENSBORO — Mon View Roller Rink in Greensboro will open for the fall skating season with the 5th-annual “Halloween Skate & Dance,” scheduled for 7-11 p.m. tonight. Admission for the all-ages event is $8 per person.
The skate will be held from 7 to 9 p.m., and the dance will run from 9 to 11 p.m. The Halloween event will feature costume judging and prizes for funniest, ugliest, prettiest, scariest and most original costumes. Last year’s event drew more than 175 attendees.
The “Halloween Skate & Dance” kicks off the 2012-2013 skating season at Mon View Roller Rink. Skating hours will be 7-10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. There is a charge for admission and skate rental. Times and prices may change for special events.
Four more “Skate & Dance” events are scheduled for Fridays throughout the fall. The dates are Nov. 2, 16 and 30 and Dec. 14. The annual “All Night Skate” will be held from 10 p.m. on New Year’s Eve to 6 a.m. on New Year’s Day.
