The days are getting longer, the nights are getting shorter, and your social event calendar is on the rise.

HELLOOO SPRING!

Bring on the glowing skin, festivals, weddings, barbecues and frozen beverages!

BUT…before you party hardy into the fall season, spend the spring and summer exercising one of life’s forgotten muscles — your attitude.

Spring Cleaning: The Attitude Improvement Edition.

Whether you like it or not, people take note and make generalizations based on your attitude and actions. Make sure they are compiling a list of your most positive attributes.

Get to know yourself: What’s sexier than a person with self-confidence? When you know who you are, what you stand for, what you want out of life, and have goals and a plan to get there. The truth already lies within you!

Spread positive affirmations: Be careful of the things you verbalize and think about yourself. The words “I am” are very powerful! Make sure they are followed with honest, positive, and kind adjectives.

Smile: In a world full of miserable, irritable and uptight people a smile goes a long way. Smiling displays your inner confidence, generates warmth and mellows the people around you. Show those choppers, and avoid the likelihood of frown lines in the future. You’re welcome! 🙂

Don’t make everything about you: Life is about being the perfect amount of selfless and selfish at the same time. Love with all you’ve got but not more than you love yourself. YOU MATTER!

Give without seeking: While random acts of kindness serve and make the recipient feel great, they will ultimately make you feel better. Give it away and it will come back to you. Somebody say Karma!

Share what makes you special: We all have quirks and hidden talents that make us special and unique. Don’t spend another second hiding your TRUE identity. These gifts were given to you for a reason — share them with the world! It takes time, patience and many setbacks along the way to retrain your thinking and maintain a positive attitude. The end reward? The luxury of living your best life and gaining control of your mental and physical well-being.

Now that you are done refreshing your attitude; why don’t you do something about that linen closet?
