Independence Day celebration line up

1 min read

Fireworks and music highlight the Fayette Chamber of Commerce’s 18th annual Independence Day celebration beginning at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Uniontown Mall.

The event will feature a line up of concerts, children’s activities and vendors throughout the afternoon and evening and culminate with a fireworks display by Keystone Fireworks, presented by Chevron.

“We have lots of local restaurant vendors and local business vendors, childrens’ activities and really good regional entertainment,” said Muriel Nuttall, executive director of the Fayette Chamber of Commerce. “The business support has been amazing. It will be a very nice event.”

Neon Swing X-perience takes the stage first. The band, a regular at several Pittsburgh venues, plays “swing with sting,” giving a modern edge to swing, rockabilly, Dixieland jazz, and blues featuring its horn sections. Metro will play its Top 40/Dance music as the second act of the day. Country music originals The Steve Smith Band headline the celebration.

The day also includes children’s activities and workshops and face painting. Numerous local businesses will serve as food and drink vendors.

Admission is $5, with children under 12 years admitted free with a paying adult.
