Area students in grades 7-12 can join the 304 Photo Club, which will meet twice monthly at Monongalia Arts Center, 101 High St., Morgantown. Meetings will be held 6:30-8:30 p.m. every other Tuesday. Carnegie Museum of Art presents Teenie Harris Photographs: Baseball in Pittsburgh takes a look back at the great history of baseball in Pittsburgh. Comprising 25 of the most memorable photographs of the game and its players and never-before-seen 16mm film footage of the Negro League games at Greenlee Field and Forbes Field. Actors and Artists of Fayette County (AAFC) will hold auditions for the musical, “Shrek” at The Geyer Performing Arts Center in Scottdale. Auditions will be held 1-4 p.m. June 8, and 6-8 p.m. June 9. The show will be directed by Jonathan Rohlf, music directed by Brad Henry and choreographed by Sara Inks. Shrek requires a large and multi-talented cast, and will include a children’s chorus. Children under the age of 13 who will be auditioning for the children’s chorus will be required to learn 16 bars of a song from the show, and to read from a short prepared sheet. A headshot for these children is encouraged, but not required. Auditioners should prepare 32 bars of a modern pop or rock song in the style of the show. Songs from the show are permitted, but auditioners should have a second song prepared as well. Sheet music must be marked with edits and be in the correct key. There will be a movement audition; please bring shoes for all types of dance (tap, jazz, ballet). A headshot and theatrical resume are recommended but not required. The show will run August 14-17 at The Geyer Performing Arts Center.
