How Western Pennsylvania affected World War II on display in the “We Can Do It!” WWII exhibit and film festival at the Heinz History Center, 1212 Smallman St., Pittsburgh, through Jan. 4. Developed by the History Center, this 10,000 square-foot exhibition will focus on Pittsburgh’s role on both the home front and the battlefield during World War II. The exhibition will explore the development of the Jeep, a uniquely American invention produced by the American Bantam Car Company in Butler and reveal the stories behind real-life “Rosie the Riveters” and local Tuskegee Airmen. Jozart Center for the Arts in California will continue the Wine & Line program 6:30 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month. The Beesontown Singers will perform at Murphy Hall (former Golden Corral) in Connellsville, noon Dec. 5, as part of ‘A Connellsville Christmas, and continue their performance series with A Festival of Lessons and Carols in sanctuary of Cochran Memorial United Methodist Church, Dawson 7 p.m. Dec. 14. This year’s presentation will include many seasonal hymns and anthems and will be accompanied by a string quartet, harp, hand bells and keyboard. The program is free and open to the general public. A free will offering will be accepted. The audience is invited to join the choir and orchestra for a reception immediately following the service.

V.F.W. Post 8543 Band will present “A Christmas Holiday Concert IV” at State Theatre Center for the Arts, Uniontown, 3 p.m. Dec. 6. This year’s program includes Yuletide instrumental and vocal selections, featuring 4 vocalists. An audience sing-a-long of Christmas favorites is also planned. The concert is open to the public. The Westmoreland County Community College orchestras and choir will perform holiday concerts 7:30 p.m. Dec. 4 and 11 in the Science Hall theater, Youngwood campus. The Dec. 4 “Holiday Festival” concert will feature performances by the WCCC Chamber Orchestra and the Full Orchestra. “The Most Wonderful Season of All” is the theme of the WCCC Choir and Symphonic Band performance Dec. 11. St. Vincent College Concert Series will present musical performances featuring internationally acclaimed musicians during its 44th season.
