St. Vincent Summer Theatre 47th summer season is underway featuring ”Into the Woods,” a popular musical for all ages will run through July 26. Saint Vincent will close its summer season with the hilarious farce, ”Moon Over Buffalo,” by Ken Ludwig will run July 30 through Aug. 16. New St. Vincent Summer Theatre artistic director, Greggory Brandt, will direct all four productions. St. Vincent Summer Theatre patrons are asked to make ticket reservations in advance except Thursday evening preview shows, which are general admission.

How Western Pennsylvania affected World War II on display in the “We Can Do It!” WWII exhibit at the Heinz History Center, 1212 Smallman St., Pittsburgh, through Jan. 4, 2016. Developed by the History Center, this 10,000 square-foot exhibition will focus on Pittsburgh’s role on both the home front and the battlefield during World War II. The exhibition will explore the development of the Jeep, a uniquely American invention produced by the American Bantam Car Company in Butler and reveal the stories behind real-life “Rosie the Riveters” and local Tuskegee Airmen.
The Summer Flower Show and Butterfly Forest of Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, One Schenley Park, Pittsburgh takes guests on a spectacular journey through the weird, wonderful and winged. Summer Flower Show runs through Sunday, Oct. 5. Butterfly Forest is open through Monday, Sept. 7. Hours are 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily and until 10 p.m. on Fridays. Area students in grades seven through 12 can join the 304 Photo Club, which will meet twice monthly at Monongalia Arts Center, 101 High St., Morgantown. Meetings will be held 6:30-8:30 p.m. every other Tuesday. Students taking part in the club, hosted by local photographer David Smith, will learn the basics of digital photography, lighting and composition, as well as more advanced techniques.
