From a farm in rural Georgia to remote villages in Nepal, “At the Crossroads: A Southern Daughter’s Story” is the story of one young woman’s journey. The reader joins the woman through the heights of romance and adventure, to the depths of unspeakable betrayal and violence, and the resilience grace and faith offer.

Although based on some true stories, the characters are a composite of many people in this work of fiction.

The author uses the pen name of Gottlieb Bradley, derived from a combination of other family names.

She is a retired dermatologist who practiced for over 40 years in Los Angeles, Nepal and Pennsylvania.

She completed her undergraduate studies in Georgia and finished her residency in dermatology at the University of Pennsylvania.

The author has two sons and four grandchildren and she divides her time between the Uniontown area and the Washington D.C. area. The book’s editor, Ellen Daugherty, and illustrator, Patrick Daugherty, also reside in the Uniontown area.
