Netflix show needs Pittsburgh area vintage vehicles
If you’ve got a car from the years 1962 to 1982, then a new Netflix series “Mindhunter” would like to hear from you.
Mosser Casting announced Monday that “Mindhunter,” executive produced by David Fincher (“House of Cards” and “Gone Girl”) and Charlize Theron (“Mad Max: Fury Road”), seeks vintage, “everyday” vehicles to appear in the drama series that begins filming in the Pittsburgh region in early May.
The series centers on two FBI agents who pioneered behavioral profiling. Jonathan Groff from HBO’s “Looking” (and the voice of Kristoff in “Frozen”) and Anna Torv, an Australian actress who previously played an FBI agent on the Fox series “Fringe,” have been cast for the top roles, according to IMDB.com
Owners would be compensated for their time and must be willing to be in the scene with their vehicle.
A typical shoot day is 12 to 14 hours. Shooting takes place rain or shine so if owners are opposed to getting their cars wet, they shouldn’t apply.
The show’s producers are especially looking for sedans, pickup trucks and station wagons with less emphasis on “muscle” cars.
Interested owners should submit a picture of themselves as well as their vehicle to MindhunterVehicles@gmail .com.
They also should include their name, age, phone number, height, weight and vehicle make, model, year and color as well as if the vehicle is in its original condition.
They should also mention if they’re interested in possibly selling their vehicle to the production.
The make, model and year of the vehicle should be in the subject line of the email.
