The lovable, animated Blue Tang who found Nemo and her family will be able to find a way into homes as “Finding Dory” is now available on Blu-Ray and DVD this week.

Dory (voiced by Ellen DeGeneres, “Ellen: The Ellen DeGeneres Show” and “Finding Nemo”) suddenly awakes with flashbacks of her parents.

She then sets off on a quest to return to her family home to find them.

On her quest she meets several new characters including a septapus named Hank (Ed O’Neill “Modern Family” and “Married with Children”), Destiny a whale that she knew when she was younger (Kaitlin Olson, “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” and “The Heat”) and Bailey a beluga whale that has issues with his echolocation (Ty Burrell, “Modern Family” and “The Incredible Hulk.”)

The latest installment of the Disney/Pixar partnership received rave reviews from critics and audiences alike.

Peter Hartlaub of the San Francisco Chronicle wrote, “The sequel is filled with crowd-pleasing action, adventure and characters – sometimes too many characters.

But it rises above its crowded narrative with an intense emotional core, taking a protagonist whose affliction had been played mostly for comedy, and exploring the emptiness and loneliness of her plight.”

“Absolutely an amazing animated film which is also a great sequel. ‘Finding Dory’ delivers a fun, enjoyable, thought-provoking themes that certainly made the film good with amazing voice cast and fantastic animation made it one of Pixar’s best efforts,” wrote John Krisofer, a user reviewer on Metacritic.com.

The film has been a box office success with earning about $485 million.

“Finding Dory” is rated PG for mild thematic elements.
