The Diamond Theatre of Ligonier will hold auditions for the original production of “The Poisoned Apple” from 7:30-9:30 p.m. June 10 and 6-8 p.m. June 13. The production is looking for males and females ages 14 and up to be a part of this mysterious play that will tell the story about what happened with the poisoned apple that was given to Snow White. Secrets will be revealed and hilarity will be had at this comedic play. Please note this is not a musical. The Phoenix Arts Center in Uniontown is accepting registrations for classes in visual and performing arts for all ages. Jozart Center for the Arts in California will continue the Wine & Line program 6:30 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month. The exhibit is a retrospective of the music and arts during the fall of the industrial revolution, opening the door for the vibrant arts community Pittsburgh has today.

”Communal Resurrection: The Soul of a Community” images by Steve Prince, April 21-June 18, 707 and 709 Penn Galleries, 707-709 Penn Ave., Pittsburgh. Opening reception 5:30-10 p.m. April 21. The exhibit chronicles the progression of Black music from the fields to hip-hop. The series reveals how the music became a balm for people whose names, culture and gods were under siege through the stultifying system of American capitalism.

Cosmic Design works by Shanthi Chandrasekar, the Lantern, 600 Liberty Ave. Inspired by her childhood dreams of becoming a scientist, Chandrasekar uses art to explore uncharted territories. The exhibit will run through July 2.

”Andy Warhol: Stars of the Silver Screen” opens June 16 at The Andy Warchol Museum. The exhibition explores Warhol’s fascination with Hollywood, fame and stardom through artworks and hundreds of archival objects from The Warhol’s vast collection of the artist’s personal items.
