While there wasn’t a lineup of blockbusters getting ready to hit movie rental formats this week, there were some movies with well known names, including “10 Minutes Gone.”

This action flick finds long-time action film legends Michael Chiklis and Bruce Willis at odds when a bad deal to begin with goes worse than expected.

Rotten Tomatoes gives the synopsis of crime boss Rex (Willis, “Die Hard” and “The Sixth Sense”) hires Frank (Chiklis. “The Shield” and “Fantastic Four”) and his crew to steal a priceless jewel stash, but the job goes wrong when someone tips off the cops.

After Frank suffers a blow to the head, he wakes up to find the jewels gone and no memory of his attacker.

Now he must confront his team members one by one to find the traitor before Rex covers his tracks by having Frank murdered.

Other actors in the film include: Meadow Williams (“Den of Thieves” and “The Mask”) as Claire, Kyle Schmid (“Six” and “A History of Violince”) as Griffin, Texas Battle (“Coach Carter” and “Dragonball Evolution”) as Richard and Lydia Hull (“Broken City” and “Escape Plan”)as Ivory.

The Canadian-American independent action film was released straight to DVD and did not spend any time at the box office.

Top Critic Noel Murray with the “Los Angeles Times” said the film “is clumsy and cliché-ridden, and populated by two accomplished action stars who look like they just want to get through this job as quickly as possible.”

Directed by Brian A. Miller, the film is rated R for language throughout and for violence.

Other films released to rental outlets this week include:

n “Them That Follow,” directed by Britt Poulton and staring Kaitlyn Dever, Alice Englert, Lewis Pullman and Jim Gaffigan. As the daughter of the pastor, Mara has a big responsibility to uphold their faith’s beliefs. Their way of life is threatened, however, as she holds a secret that could unravel everything. As she’s set to marry one of their most devout members, she struggles to choose between tradition or the truth.

The film is rated R for violence.

n “Running With the Devil,” directed by Jason Cabell and staring Nicolas Cage, Barry Pepper, Laurence Fishburne and Cole Hauser. Two veteran drug traffickers investigate their boss’ drug supply chain after a cocaine shipment is jeopardized. The duo take on Federal Agents, gangsters and perilous border crossings (from Mexico to USA to Canada) as they attempt to secure their livelihood.

The film is rated R for disturbing images, drug Use/content, language, sexuality and violence.

The synopsis for the last two films were taken from redbox.com.
