Pittsburgh Symphony to perform “Mr. Symphonic” show with Shaggy on Feb. 26

1 min read

The world premiere of “Mr. Symphonic,” an orchestral concert pairing the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra with Grammy Award-winner Shaggy, will happen Wednesday, Feb. 26 at Heinz Hall.

The concert will pay tribute to reggae music and feature some of Shaggy’s hits. “Mr. Symphonic” reimagines reggae classics for orchestra by renowned American composer David Serkin Ludwig, and includes selections by Peter Tosh, Toots and the Maytals and Yellow Man that trace reggae’s influence on R&B, rock and pop.
