Kenneth E. Cumberledge, 62, of Washington Township, Greene County, formerly of Waynesburg and Brave, died at 4:30 a.m. Friday, March 25, 2011, in his home, after battling a cancer-related illness since 1993. He had been seriously ill for the past year.

He was born April 17, 1948, in Waynesburg, a son of the late Leroy and Helen Elizabeth Morris Cumberledge.

Mr. Cumberledge was a former employee of Green Lawn Care and was last employed by the former John Howard Motors in Waynesburg.

He enjoyed hunting and woodworking and was a member of the Handyman group.

On February 17, 1968, he married Lulu Virginia Yeager, who survives.

Also surviving are a son, Donald Cumberledge; two daughters, Kathryn Phillips and Jenny Rebecca, wife of Albert King, both of Waynesburg; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Pate of North Carolina and Sandra, wife of Calvin Joiner, of Detroit, Mich.; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased, in addition to his parents, is a son, David E. Cumberledge, who died August 5, 1999.
