Carol Ann Yoders Blaker, 64, of Carmichaels, died Sunday, December 4, 2011, in Cloverdale Personal Care Home, Masontown.

Mrs. Blaker was born March 8, 1947, in Allentown, daughter of the late Bernice Yoders and Irvin and Clara Hostetler Yoders, who raised her.

She worked as a caregiver at several area rest homes and had last worked as a foster grandparent for Head Start in Carmichaels. Mrs. Blaker was a beloved foster mother to 60 children for more than 30 years.

Surviving are two sisters, Joan Fuller and husband Bill and Emma Schubert and husband Duke of Cleveland, Ohio; sister-in-law Helen Yoders of Jefferson; a brother-in-law, Ralph Blaker of Carmichaels; several nieces and nephews; and a special son, Ed Weaver of Cleveland, Ohio.

On October 15, 1975, she married Carl R. Blaker, who died April 30, 2011.

In addition to her husband, deceased are brothers Donald and Irvin Yoders Jr. and a sister, Dolores Blaker.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Amedysis Hospice, 2183 McClellandtown Road, Masontown, PA 15461.
