Kenneth Aden Bargerstock
Kenneth Aden Bargerstock, 68, of Carmichaels, died at 11:20 p.m. Wednesday, December 7, 2011, in Washington Hospital, after a one-year battle with congestive heart failure.
He was born September 27, 1943, in Mapletown, a son of the late Raymond Henry “Chuck” and Marguerite Elizabeth “Peg” Leach Bargerstock.
Mr. Bargerstock was a 1963 graduate of Mapletown High School.
After serving with the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Era from 1968 to 1971, he attended West Virginia Career College and graduated in 1981 with an associate’s degree in accounting.
Mr. Bargerstock served both on the boards of directors of Southeastern Greene Community Health Center (now Cornerstone Care) and Mon View Park.
He enjoyed flea marketing and was an avid roller skater and a skilled wood craftsman.
His favorite holiday was Christmas, and he cherished spending time with his family and making neighborhood children laugh and smile.
For many years, Mr. Bargerstock worked as a self-employed automotive mechanic in Greensboro and was a member of Mapletown Methodist Church.
On March 16, 1974, he married Rebecca Ann Titus, who survives.
Also surviving are son Matthew A. Bargerstock and wife Andrea of Carmichaels; daughter Stacy L. Bargerstock and her beloved friend Ryan Ross of Mather; beloved grandson; two brothers, Alan L. “Pete” Bargerstock and wife Emma of Gilson, La., and Ronald G. “John” Bargerstock and wife Mildred of Greensboro; sister Constance L. Stansfield of Greensboro; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved neighbor “grandchildren,”.
Deceased is an infant son, Raymond Lee Bargerstock.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Accessibility Project, Mapletown Methodist Church, 928 Mapletown Road, Greensboro, PA 15338, or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
