Couple celebrates 50th wedding anniversary
On Dec. 17, Marilyn and Dick Bennett celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with 100 friends and family at the Calabasas Country Club, a suburb of Los Angeles.
Dick Bennett, a former resident of Waynesburg, graduated from Waynesburg High School in 1955 and Waynesburg College in 1960.
Marilyn Bennett graduated from Avonworth High School in Pittsburgh and later attended Carnegie Mellon.
After retiring from the insurance business in 2003, Dick Bennett began another career working as a member of the Screen Actors Guild in TV, movies and commercials.
The couple have four children and seven grandchildren.
