Burglary reported
State police said sometime between 12 p.m. Dec. 12 and 10:20 a.m. Dec. 18 someone broke into the Pursley Baptist Church in Wayne Twp. and stole a television, DVD player, CD player and money. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call state police at 724-627-6151.
Man cited
State police said a 24-year-old Marianna man will be cited for harassment for allegedly striking his pregnant girlfriend, Amy L. Lasko, 32, of Waynesburg, in the shoulder while she was driving along Bear Run Road in West Bethlehem Twp., Washington County, at 7:45 p.m. Dec. 9.
Driver injured
State police said vehicles driven by Jaime E. Mering, 31, of Waynesburg and Brandon W. Buckels, 38, of Sycamore were involved in a collision that occurred on Rt. 218 in Franklin Twp. at 2 p.m. Dec. 15. Police said Buckels sustained minor injuries in the crash, while Mering was not injured.
Wire stolen
Roughly 30 feet of copper wire was stolen from a truck owned by C.W. Wright Co. of Tunnelton, W.Va., while it was parked in Waynesburg Borough between 4:30 p.m. Dec. 9 and 6:30 a.m. Dec. 10, state police said.
One-vehicle crash
No injuries were reported in a single-car crash that occurred on Interstate 79 in Perry Twp. at 2:45 p.m. Dec. 16.
State police said Jason D. Chen, 24, of Morgantown, W.Va., was traveling too fast for conditions when he lost control of his car on the snow-covered road and struck an embankment.
Accident reported
State police said no injuries were reported in a two-vehicle crash that occurred on Rt. 21 in Franklin Twp. at 12:40 p.m. Dec. 16. Police said a vehicle operated by Donna L. Eddy, 44, of Waynesburg, slid on the snow-covered road, struck a guardrail and then crossed into the oncoming lane, where it collided with a vehicle operated by Raymond N. Howes, 60, of Waynesburg.
Charges to be filed
A 31-year-old Carmichaels man will be charged by state police with theft after he allegedly stole money from his former girlfriend’s new boyfriend. State police said the suspect entered the home on South Pine St. in Carmichaels Borough on Dec. 15 and stole money from an office that Bruce Ray Razillard of Greensboro had set up in the home. The suspect reportedly admitted to state police that he stole the money and hid it at his uncle’s home. He returned the money to state police who then returned it to Razillard, according to reports.
Property damaged
State police said sometime between 11 p.m. and 12 a.m. Dec. 13 someone damaged property at the Dunkard Terrace in Dunkard Twp. belonging to Dianna Fonner of Dilliner.
Man charged
John Franklin Yoney, 47, of Mt. Morris was charged with public drunkenness after an incident on Larimer Avenue in Dunkard Twp. at 2:05 a.m. Dec. 21, state police said.
Crash reported
No one was injured when a vehicle driven by Samuel Hastings, 32, of Carmichaels crashed on Muddy Creek Road in Greene Twp. Dec. 16, state police said.
Cars collide
State police said no one was injured when vehicles driven by Nathan Duer, 52, of Rices Landing and Patrick Summersgill, 49, of Prosperity collided on Rt. 88 in Monongahela Twp. at 8:26 a.m. Dec. 20.
Home burgled
Someone broke into Anita Jaggie’s home on Creek Hill Road in Dilliner, Dunkard Twp., and stole several items between 6:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Dec. 21, state police said. Police ask anybody with information about the burglary to call the station at 724-627-6151.
Club cited
The state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement said the Cumberland Legion Club in Carmichaels was cited for selling alcoholic beverages to nonmembers on July 30, Aug. 27, Aug. 28, Sept. 9 and Oct. 30.
Crash reported
A Peterbilt truck driven by Donald A. Campbell Sr. 39, of McClellandtown and a Kia Spectra driven by Tammy L Rohulich, 36, of Jefferson were involved in an accident on Route 21 in Cumberland Twp. at 8:46 a.m. Dec. 23, state police said. Rohulich suffered a minor injury, police said.
Vehicles collide
No one was injured when vehicles driven by Gerald R. Lapana Jr., 64, of Garards Fort and Benjamin W. Kiger, 46, of Point Marion were involved in an accident on Route 2011 at Holbert Stretch Road in Dunkard Twp. at 6 p.m. Dec. 17, state police said.
Items stolen
Daniel Reinhart, 33, of Waynesburg told state police someone entered his residence on Browns Run Road in Morgan Twp. sometime between 3 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. Dec. 25 and stole a TV, stereo receiver and DVD’s.
Crash reported
Icy road conditions on Dec. 30 caused vehicles driven by Jeremy Harbaugh, 25, of Fredericktown and Pamela Wozny, 36, of Greensboro to collide at 7:47 a.m. on Fordyce Road in Franklin Twp., state police said. Police reported that Charles Wozny, 53, of Greensboro, a passenger in Wozny’s vehicle, received minor injuries while Carol Clouter, 55, of Dilliner, also a passenger, was not injured.
Charges filed
State police filed harassment charges against Ashley Smith and Shaun Smith, both of Waynesburg, after they were involved in a verbal argument with Suzan Miller of Sycamore at a location in Morris Twp. at 12:01 a.m. Dec. 28. Police said Ashley Smith allegedly hit Miller and they wrestled to the ground when Shaun Miller allegedly started to hit Miller from behind.
Driver injured
State police said Susan Smith, 47, of Dilliner, was transported by ambulance to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va., for minor injuries Dec. 28 at 9 a.m. after her vehicle left the roadway along State Route 2011 in Dunkard Twp. for unknown reasons and struck a utility pole before spinning counter clockwise into a tree.
Tire punctured
Robert William Kronk, 20, of Carmichaels told state police someone punctured the left rear tire of his vehicle while it was parked at a residence on Route 88 in Jefferson Twp. at 9:50 p.m. Dec. 28.
Window broken
State police said someone broke a single pane glass window at Staley Tire in Franklin Twp. sometime between 1 p.m. Dec. 26 and 8:45 a.m. Dec. 27.
Welders stolen
State police reported that someone removed two welders and 200 foot of copper welding leads sometime between 4 p.m. Dec. 26 and 6:30 a.m. Dec. 27 from a location on Meadow Ridge Road in Perry Twp. The items belong to March Westin Company in Morgantown, W.Va.
Weapons stolen
Sometime between Dec. 4 and Dec. 11 someone removed two rifles, a 300 Magnum Ruger and a 270 Remington, both with scopes, a Hoyt bow and a 9mm Jennings pistol from the home of Steven Fonner Jr. and Jessica Petrie on Hopkins Run Road in Sycamore. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 724-627-6151.
Man cited
Raymond Shriver Sr., 63, of Waynesburg was cited and faces charges after allegedly kicking a 22-month-old child at a home on Jefferson Road in Franklin Twp. Dec. 30 at 7:20 p.m. Shriver reportedly left the home after being told the state police had been called. The child was not injured.
Two injured
Two people were injured in a collision on Route 88 in Monongahela Twp. on Dec. 31 at 10:40 p.m. According to state police, the accident occurred as a vehicle driven by Shane Hoffman, 32, of Bobtown was turning left from Greensboro Road to head south on Route 88 when there was a collision between his vehicle and a car driven by Teia Hixson, 38, of Carmichaels, who was heading north. Neither Hoffman nor his passenger was injured. Hixson received moderate injuries and was taken from the scene by ambulance. Her passenger was not injured.
Man cited
State police said Jimmie Michael Flynn, 40, of Brave was cited for harassment after he allegedly shoved Jenny Rebecca Flynn, 38, while arguing at a residence on Oak Forest Road at 12:34 a.m. Jan. 1.
Home burglarized
State police are investigating a burglary that occurred at a home on Rolling Meadows Road in Franklin Twp. sometime between dec. 31 and Jan. 1. The home was forcibly entered and property owned by Holly Ann Davis, 47, and Kala Renee Davis, 19, both of Waynesburg, was stolen, police said.
Embankment struck
One person was injured in a one-vehicle accident on icy Route 188 in Jefferson Twp. at 7:40 a.m. Dec. 30, state police said. A vehicle driven by Michelle L. Nelson, 35, of Jefferson was traveling west on Route 188 near the intersection with Bells Bridge Road when her vehicle slid on ice and struck an embankment. The sport utility vehicle then spun clockwise and traveled 30 feet before coming to rest on the north shoulder of the road facing west, police said. Nelson suffered minor injuries, police said.
Driver cited
One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident on Route 21 at the intersection with Route 506 in Franklin Twp. at 5:43 p.m. Dec. 30, state police said. Vehicles driven by Evelyn M. Fuller, 48, of Waynesburg and Thomas I. Good Jr., 35, of Waynesburg were involved in the accident. Police said Fuller was traveling east on Route 21 and Good was traveling west on Route 21 when Fuller attempted to make a left turn onto Jennings Avenue and the front of Fuller’s car struck the front on Good’s pickup truck. Fuller suffered moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Southwest Regional Medical Center for treatment. Police said Fuller was cited for an illegal left turn.
TV stolen
William Paradise, 28, of Washington was charged with theft for allegedly stealing a television from a room he rented at the Econo Lodge motel in Franklin Twp. at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 30, state police said.
Theft reported
State police said someone stole a duffel bag containing a video game system from an unlocked vehicle owned by Lindsay Demaar of Clarksville in the parking lot of Mountain View Gardens in Franklin Twp. at 1 a.m. Jan. 1.
Man cited
Royce Cain of Pine Grove, W.Va., was cited with criminal trespass following an incident on Jollytown Road in Freeport Twp. at 3:14 a.m. Dec. 31, state police said. Police listed Wise Excavating of New Freeport as the victim in the incident but did not elaborate in what way.
Report issued
State police in Waynesburg received reports of 649 incidents and made 66 arrests in December, according to the monthly statistics report from the station. The report includes 126 offenses reported, 125 founded offenses and 70 cleared offenses. Patrol activity included 70 crashes, nine hit and run crashes, 18 injuries, two driving under the influence of alcohol arrests, 190 traffic citations issued and 99 warnings issued.
Violations reported
Officials from the Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement alleged that State Line Inn on Mount Morris Road permitted smoking in a public place where it was prohibited and failed to post signage that is required by the Clean Indoor Air Act. The alleged violations occurred on Aug. 27 and Oct. 30, authorities indicated.
Club cited
The Fraternal Order of Eagles on High St. in Waynesburg was cited for allegedly possessing or operating gambling devices and not electing officers in accordance with the Liquor Code on Sept. 22, according to the state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement.
