Harold E. “Bud” Watters Jr., 64, of Jefferson, died Saturday, June 25, 2011, in his home.

He was born September 4, 1946, in Franklin Township, Greene County, a son of the late Harold E. Watters Sr. and Mildred Hart.

Mr. Watters was a 1965 graduate of Jefferson-Morgan High School.

He worked out of the Operating Engineers Local 66 as a heavy equipment operator.

Mr. Watters had served in the U.S. Army Reserve.

He lived all of his life in Greene County.

Mr. Watters enjoyed playing cards, bingo, going to car races, hunting and fishing.

On November 2, 1974, he married Judy May Cox, who died July 18, 1996.

Surviving are a son, Buddy Allen Watters of Jefferson; two daughters, Denise Blakley and husband William of Waynesburg and Pamela Moore and husband Lee of Washington; eight grandchildren; and two sisters, Helen Yoders of Jefferson and Judith Adamson and husband Ben of Ravenna, Ohio.

He leaves a special friend, Sylvia “Chickie” Demaske.
