Eleanor Phillips

Eleanor Phillips, 91, of Hartford Township, Ohio, died Friday, July 1, 2011, in Liberty Health Care Center, Youngstown, Ohio.

She was born April 9, 1920, in Waynesburg, a daughter of the late Arthur and Emma Dulaney Headlee.

Mrs. Phillips was a graduate of Kittanning Beauty School and then was a teacher at the school for more than 10 years. She also worked for G.C. Murphy.

She was a 4-H volunteer, a Grange member and a member of Kuhntown United Methodist Church.

She enjoyed bowling, crocheting, reading, playing games and working jigsaw puzzles.

Surviving are her husband, Paul K. Phillips, whom she married January 10, 1942; a son, Arthur Phillips of Liberty; three daughters, Paulette (Chaplain John) Riggs of York, E. Carol Davies of Azle, Texas, and Bonnie (Patrick) Jackson of Albuquerque, N.M.; and six grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, deceased are a brother, William F. Headlee, and a sister, E. Louise Isenburg.
