COUNTY CALENDAR
ANNUAL FESTIVAL – Fairall United Methodist Church will hold its annual festival on July 23 at 5 p.m. The menu will include chicken sandwiches, ham barbeque, hot sausage, hot dogs, homemade noodles, baked beans, assortment of salads, fruit cup, pie, cake and beverage. PHOTO CLUB – The next meeting of the Greene County Photography Club will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 26 at the Waynesburg Bible Chapel. The club competition this month is Animal Babies. The program will be on Lightroom. New members are always welcome.
RAIN DAY – On Friday, July 29, downtown Waynesburg will be the site for the 137th annual Rain Day Celebration. Come enjoy visiting old friends, listening to music, watching the competitions and eating some delicious festival food. This event is sponsored by the Waynesburg Borough Special Events Commission. SCHOOL REUNION – The Richhill High School reunion will be held on Saturday, July 30 in the Richhill Twp. Firehall in Wind Ridge. Dinner will be at 12 p.m. Please bring a covered dish.
COUNTY FAIR – The annual Greene County Agricultural Fair will be held Aug. 7-13 at the Greene County Fairgrounds. This week-long fair is an opportunity for local farmers, 4H participants and community members to display their livestock, crafts, baked goods, needlework, canned goods and homegrown produce in various competitions. DRIVING CLASSES – Seniors for Safe Driving will present a safety program Aug. 8 and 9 for drivers aged 55 and older. This program will take place at the Fox Ford Mercury Dealership on High Street in Waynesburg. The program is certified by the Pa. Dept. of Transportation.
