House struck
Linda Vandruff of Waynesburg told state police that someone shot her house on Mount Morris Road in Whitely Twp. with pink paint pellets July 21 at 9:30 p.m., damaging the siding.
Two injured
Two people were taken to the hospital following a two-vehicle accident on Wades Run Road in Perry Twp. July 22 at 10:44 a.m. According to state police, Norma Poling, 31, and her passenger, Emily Poling, 5, both of Pentress, W.Va., were taken by ambulance to Ruby Memorial Hospital for unspecified injuries. No one was injured in the second vehicle, which was driven by Jeffrey Braham, 45, of Core, W.Va. According to state police, the accident occurred as Poling attempted to turn left in front of Braham’s vehicle.
Cited for DUI
State police stopped Joshua Craig Raleigh, 31, of Clairton for traffic violations near mile marker 11 on Interstate 79 in Whitely Twp. July 23 at 2:40 a.m. Raleigh was charged with driving under the influence.
In a separate incident, state police cited Ronald R. Moldovan Jr., no address listed, for driving under the influence following a stop July 16 around 2:40 a.m. at the intersection of Clarksville Road and Route 88 in Jefferson Twp.
Motorcyclist injured
According to state police, Chad Smitley, 22, of Carmichaels, received major injuries when his motorcycle collided with a car driven by Michael Billetz, 44, of Greensboro. Smitley was thrown from the motorcycle and hit Billetz’s windshield in the accident that occurred at 4:45 p.m. on July 16 at the intersection of Route 88 and Evergreen Second St. in Monongahela Twp.
Runaways found
According to state police, a 17-year-old girl who had run away from home in Shadyside, Ohio, allegedly stole a Ford Mustang in Ohio, picked up her boyfriend, Ryan James Forsythe, 18, of Bellaire, Ohio, and drove to 582 Nemacolin Rd. in Cumberland Twp., where they were both taken into custody July 21 at 9:45 p.m. The girl was placed in a juvenile detention facility in Connellsville. Forsythe was arraigned and placed in the Greene County Prison on charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Man cited
State police cited Paul Whitmer Jr., 36, of Prosperity, for disorderly conduct after he allegedly used obscenities and opened the door of a backhoe operated by Melvin Wayne Miller, 76, of Sycamore. Miller was doing roadwork along Long Mile Road in Washington Twp. when the incident occurred July 22 at 9:15 a.m.
Vehicle vandalized
State police said someone damaged the windshield, hood and fender of a car owned by Betty Uveges of Waynesburg sometime between 12:15 a.m. and 7 a.m. July 21. The incident occurred at a residence on Woodland Ave. in Waynesburg.
Man cited
State police cited Nicholas Bialko, 17, for failing to stop at a a red light following an accident at the intersection of Route 188 and Route 21 in Franklin Twp. on July 19 at 6 p.m. Bialko’s vehicle collided with a vehicle driven by Robert Adams, 38, of Masontown. No one was injured in the accident.
Man charged
Clint Matthews, no age listed, of Nineveh was charged with harassment after an alleged altercation with Heather Mae Taylor, no age listed, of Nineveh, at a residence in Morris Twp. at 7:15 p.m. July 19.
