LETTER TO EDITOR
Each year, a Sunday nearest the 4th of July is designated as Allegiance Sunday. It is a day that offers people the opportunity to pledge allegiance to God, our country and our flag.
By sharing in such a ceremony, we may reaffirm our loyalty and love for our country.
?The Fort Jackson Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution would encourage you to honor the flag this year on Sunday, July 3 as the fourth is on Monday, by offering a Pledge of Allegiance and/or singing a patriotic hymn during that Sunday worship service.
Because of continued world circumstances and the dangers the men and women of our Armed Forces are facing, we encourage your support of our service personal. Please honor those who have given their lives over the years and continue to for the freedoms we enjoy every day.
If you would send a church bulletin for that day so that a report may be tabulated, we would be most appreciative. Thank you and may God continue to bless our great country.
