Nellie L. Berry Lemley

Nellie L. Berry Lemley, 88, of Mt. Morris, died at 12:12 a.m. Saturday, March 5, 2011, in Golden Living Center, Waynesburg.

She was born Friday, October 6, 1922, in Monongalia County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Allen “Buck” Berry and Clara Tennant Berry.

Mrs. Lemley was a member of Mt. Morris Gospel Tabernacle Assembly of God Church.

She was a member of Mason-Dixon Red Hat Society and was on the board for Mason Dixon Park.

A homemaker, she enjoyed boating, shopping, traveling and singing.

Her husband, Charles O. “Blackie” Lemley, whom she married June 27, 1942, died October 13, 2009.

Surviving are a daughter, Bonnie K. and husband Tom Hendershot of Bridgeville; two sons, Charles A. and wife Charlotte Lemley of Mt. Morris and Scott G. Lemley of Mt. Morris; three grandchildren; two sisters, Aimee Findo of Cassville, W.Va., and Kathryn Sikora of Newark, Ohio; a brother, Glenn Berry of Ruff Creek; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are a sister, Genevieve Hunley; and four brothers, Waldo Berry, Stanley Berry, Frank Berry and Fenton Berry.
