Dorwin C. Kerr
Dorwin C. Kerr, 96, of Waynesburg, formerly of Oak Forest, died at 5:30 a.m. Thursday, November 3, 2011, in his home.
He was born Wednesday, December 30, 1914, in Delphene, Jackson Township, Greene County, a son of the late George L. and Hilda Burge Kerr. He spent his entire life in Greene County.
Mr. Kerr was a member of Spraggs United Methodist Church.
He was a veteran, having served with the U.S. Army during World War II.
During his life, he worked as a lumberman, truck driver, mechanic and construction worker. He was a member of the Union Local 66B.
His first wife, Sara Jones Kerr, died June 24, 1989. His second wife, Elizabeth Lockart Tustin Kerr, whom he married June 10, 1990, died May 2, 2009.
Deceased are three sisters, Delsie Kerns, Louie Campbell and Ruby Kerr, who died in infancy, and two brothers, Lloyd Kerr and Samuel Kerr.
