Man arrested
State police said they have filed multiple charges against a Greene County man after he assaulted 60-year-old man during an argument in Greensboro Nov. 10.
Police said Michael Eitner, 33, of Greensboro was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, harassment and disorderly conduct following the assault on Samuel Uveges, also of Greensboro. The charges were filed after the men got into an altercation on the front porch of Eitner’s home at 1:55 a.m., police said.During the fight, police said Eitner struck Uveges in the head several times and caused a laceration behind his right ear.
Police said Eitner also brandished a handgun during the fight and fired two rounds near Uveges’s head.
Wire stolen
State police said sometime between 10 p.m. Nov. 6 and 3 p.m. Nov. 7 someone stole approximately 50 feet of coated copper wire from the Duquesne Light Facility in Greensboro.
Thefts reported
State police said items were stolen from several boats docked at the Greene Cove Yacht Club in Morgan Twp. sometime Nov. 1 or Nov. 2.
Tools stolen
State police said tools belonging to Greensboro Borough were stolen from a location on Front Street between noon Sept. 6 and 9 a.m. Nov. 6. Tools stolen included various hand tools, a Craftsman reciprocating saw and a black bag containing Craftsman power tools.
Garage burglarized
Stephen H. Bane Jr. of Clarksville reported his garage, located on Center Street in Clarksville, was burglarized between 4:20 p.m. Nov. 7 and 7:30 a.m. Nov. 8 and an unknown item and cash were stolen.
Woman cited
State police said Virginia Herron, 27, of Clarksville was cited for criminal mischief after she allegedly threw gravel at the windshield of a vehicle owned by Jerrod Berry, 27, also of Clarksville, while it was parked on 138 A Street in Morgan Twp. The gravel cracked the windshield, police said.
Wire stolen
Sometime on Nov. 10 someone stole 30 feet of blue-cased copper wire belonging to RM Manufacturing from a site on Jefferson Road in Franklin Twp. state police said.
Money stolen
State police said sometime between 6 p.m. Nov. 9 and 6 a.m. Nov. 10 someone broke a window at the 84 Lumber store in Franklin Twp. and stole $600 from a lock box. The investigation is ongoing.
Items stolen
State police said sometime between 2 p.m. Nov. 5 and 5 p.m. Nov. 9 someone broke into a residence on Sharp Run Road in Spraggs, Wayne Twp., and stole several firearms and a generator. Suspects also broke into a residence on Drift Ridge Road in the same area between 1 and 3 p.m. Nov. 9 and stole cash and jewelry. The investigation is ongoing. Area residents are reminded to be alert for any suspicious persons or vehicles in the area.
Bathtubs stolen
State police said sometime between 12 p.m. Nov. 7 and 8 a.m. Nov. 9 someone stole two white porcelain covered cast iron claw foot bathtubs from a location on Route 2009 in Wayne Twp.
Tires punctured
Misty McCormick of Spraggs told state police that sometime between 8 p.m. Oct. 31 and 9 a.m. Nov. 1 someone punctured the tires on her vehicle while it was parked on Hobson Street in Wayne Twp.
