Elizabeth (Betty) Davis, 85, of Carmichaels, formerly of Jefferson, died Wednesday, November 16, 2011, in her home.

She was born May 8, 1926, in Khedive, a daughter of the late James Frank and Hilda Dugan Walker.

Mrs. Davis was a homemaker and a volunteer for Carmichaels Senior Citizens Center.

She was a member of New Apostle Church in Crucible.

On April 8, 1944, she married Ray E. Davis, who died June 20, 2004.

Surviving are five children, Linda C. Workman of Carmichaels, Raymond A. Davis of Carmichaels, Diana D. Hixon of Sycamore, Charles E. Davis of Carmichaels and Dawna J. Findley of West Virginia; 14 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Donald Walker of Mt. Morris and Ira J. Walker of Dresdin, Ohio; and two sisters, Ruby Main of Rogersville and Yvonna McGlone of Carmichaels.

Deceased are two brothers, James Walker and John Walker, and two sisters, Dotty Josephine Walker and Marjorie Six.
