Lynda Kaye Zalar, 65, of Carmichaels, died Saturday, November 19, 2011, in her home.

She was born November 29, 1945, in Washington, D.C., a daughter of the late George and Carrie Smith Routzahn.

Surviving are her husband, Edward M. Zalar Jr.; two sons, James Edward Zalar (Doreen) of Carmichaels and Robert J. Zalar (Marla J.) of Carmichaels; a daughter, Debbie Beatty (Jamie) of Front Royal, Va.; six grandchildren; and a brother, Milton Routzahn of Kodiak, Alaska.

Deceased, in addition to her parents, is a sister, Anna R. Smith.

Mrs. Zalar was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
