Lilah W. Stilwell, 90, of Waynesburg, died Thursday, August 25, 2011, in Golden Living Center at Waynesburg.

She was born April 17, 1921, in Jefferson Township, a daughter of the late Kay M. and Grace Ridge Walker.

Mrs. Stilwell was a graduate of Waynesburg High School.

On January 9, 1942, she married George S. Stilwell, who died May 2, 1996.

She worked as a nurse’s aide at Curry Memorial Home in Waynesburg from 1964 to 1986. She and her husband operated a family farm in Jefferson Township for more than 50 years.

Mrs. Stilwell resided in Waynesburg for the past 14 years, where she was active in the Waynesburg Senior Center.

She was a member of Jefferson Baptist Church and had attended First Baptist Church of Waynesburg.

Surviving are two daughters, Doris Zimmerman (Frank) of Waynesburg and Lois Zimmerman (Joseph) of Rockwood, and three granddaughters.

Deceased are two sisters, Agnes Magyary and Helen Eitner, and a brother, Minter Walker.
