Crash reported

State police said vehicles driven by Stephanie R. Imler, 24, of Duncansville and Angela Persichilli, 46, of Woodbridge, Ontario, were involved in a crash that occurred on Interstate 79 in Washington Twp. at 3:50 p.m. Aug. 20. Police said neither driver was injured, nor were any of the four passengers in Persichilli’s vehicle.

Woman arrested

State police Haley Lynese Aldrich, 20, of Monessen was arrested for providing false identification to law enforcement following a traffic stop on Interstate 79 in Whiteley Twp. at 10:30 p.m. Aug. 22. Police said Aldrich was a passenger in the vehicle that was stopped; when asked to identify herself, Alrich reportedly gave police a different name several times, according to reports.

Vandalism reported

Holly Bercosky reported to Cumberland Twp. police that windows were broken out of her Volkswagen Beetle while it was parked at the Nemacolin Post Office on Aug. 20. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 724-966-8296.

Man cited

George Connelly of Route 88 Mobile Home Park in Cumberland Twp. was cited for harassment following a disturbance at a residence at the mobile home park. Connelly was reported to have struck Nicholas and Charlotte Connelly, Cumberland Twp. police said.

Bench stolen

Naney Hunyady of Carmichaels told Cumberland Twp. police that an iron bench was stolen from the porch of Nancy’s Sewing on Route 88 in Cumberland Twp. sometime on Aug. 20.

Fire reported

Cumberland Twp. police assisted the Carmichaels-Cumberland Twp. Fire Department with a vehicle fire on State Route 21 on Aug. 22. The vehicle is owned by Tri State Tree Service of Smithfield. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. No injuries were reported.

Crash reported

No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle collision on State Route 88 near Cross Street in Cumberland Twp. on Aug. 23. Police said Frank Nestor of Clarksville collided with a postal carrier truck occupied by Michael Angry of McClellandtown as he was passing the vehicle.

Drivers collide

Neither Helen Fox and John Kozlowski, both of Nemacolin, reported injuries when their vehicles side-swiped each other on Bliss Ave in Nemacolin on Aug. 23, Cumberland Twp. police said.

Theft reported

Rodney Babb of Covington, La. told state police that sometime between 10 p.m. Aug. 27 and 7 a.m. Aug. 28 someone stole copper welding leads from vehicle while it was parked at the Econolodge in Franklin Twp.

Pool vandalized

State police said sometime between 9 p.m. Aug. 23 and 7 a.m. Aug. 24 someone spray-painted the side of Bryan Dean’s above-ground pool at a residence on Edgar Hill Road in Washington Twp.

Injuries reported

State police said vehicles driven by Angeline Marie Dille, 26, of Mt. Morris and an unknown driver were involved in a collision that occurred at the intersection of Routes 2002 and 2009 in Perry Twp. at 2:25 a.m. Aug. 28. Police said Dille was turning onto Rt. 2009 and struck the other car which was stopped at the intersection, and the other car then drove off. Dille suffered injuries in the crash and a passenger in her car, Christopher Alan Howard, 36, also of Mt. Morris, was not injured. Police said neither Dille nor Howard were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash. The other car was described as a blue Chevrolet Cavalier with front end damage. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call state police at 724-627-6151.

Driver injured

State police said Michael T. Goff, age and address not listed, was traveling on Route 18 in Freeport Twp. at 8:50 p.m. Aug. 27 when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a rock embankment. Goff suffered moderate injuries in the crash and was taken by ambulance to Hundred, W.Va., and later airlifted to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va. for treatment of injuries.
