Jefferson-Morgan’s Class of ’56 to hold 55th reunion
Jefferson-Morgan High School’s Class of 1956 will celebrate its 55th class reunion on Friday, Sept. 30 at the Double Tree by Hilton, Meadow Lands, located at 340 Race Track Road in Washington.
There will be a cash bar from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m.
Attendees of the reunion of the Jefferson-Morgan High School Class of 1956 will take part in a walking tour of the high school arranged for 10 a.m. on Sept. 30.
Arrangements have been made with the current superintendent, Donna Furnier.
The Class of 1956 spent three years at the old Monongahela College and Jefferson High School.
The Monongahela College was dedicated July 4, 1872 and closed in 1896.
Jefferson High School students moved into the building in 1909-1910.
The Class of 1956 was the first class to graduate from the current Jefferson-Morgan High School in Jefferson.
